Howard Hawks’ deal with Paramount

One of the most celebrated of American filmmakers, who ironically, was little celebrated by his peers in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences during his career. He received a long overdue special Oscar in 1974. DS, six pages, 8.5 x 11, March 6, 1962. Agreement between Laurel Productions (Hawks’ company) and Paramount in which Hawks agrees to produce three feature length motion picutres within a period of four years. Between 1962 and 1966, Hawks directed Hatari!, Man’s Favorite Sport?, Red LIne 7000 and El Dorado. Contract details payments, financing, distribution, budget, copyrights, profits, etc. Signed by Hawks on page six in blue ink. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing, paper clip impression and stape holes to upper left, light edge toning. R&R COA.
