Vintage ballpoint signatures, “George Harrison,” “John Lennon,” “Ringo Starr,” and “congratulations, Paul McCartney,” at the bottom of an off-white 7 x 4.25 sheet, bearing a signed statement from a 1964 “Spend The Day With The Beatles” contest winner. Winner certifies that he is over the age of seventeen, may bring one friend with him, and be allowed to travel on a mutually agreed upon date. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from a previous owner, whose friend acquired the signatures from the contest winner in the 1980s. Letter states that a meeting was arranged by a record shop owner, in part, “told him of a customer who had won a contest in 1964 that a London radio station was sponsoring. The winner got to spend a day with the Beatles…He set my friend up with a meeting…my friend bought the enclosed piece.” Two folds, one lightly affecting a couple of letters of signatures, a couple small fold separations, small spot of tape to top left and tape to reverse, otherwise fine condition.
