Heavyweight boxing champion from 1926-28 who defeated Jack Dempsey in 1926 and 1927 and retired after winning against Tom Heeney in 1928. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in white ink “To Audrey Baxter, With best wishes, Gene Tunney.” In fine condition, with a couple slight surface marks and a crease or two to lower border, which also bears the photographer’s signature.
