Starting his own production company, Laurel needs all the help he can get: “Your letter arrived at the time I was having my troubles with the [Hal Roach] studio, and I greatly appreciate your offer of assistance in writing to Mr. Carl Laemmle”

TLS signed “Stan,” one page, 8.75 x 10.75, Stan Laurel Productions letterhead, December 7, 1935. Belated letter to a friend. In part, “Please pardon the delay in replying to your last letter, as you understand it was owing to my trying to get adjusted again. Your letter arrived at the time I was having my troubles with the studio, and I greatly appreciate your offer of assistance in writing to Mr. Carl Laemmle.” In 1936, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy left the Hal Roach Studios and start making pictures for their own company, Stan Laurel Productions. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. In fine condition, with expected folds and a couple of wrinkles. R&R COA.
