Playwright/lyricist William S. Gilbert and composer Arthur S. Sullivan defined operetta in Victorian England with a series of their internationally successful and timeless works known as the Savoy Operas. Fountain pen signatures, “W. S. Gilbert” and “Arthur Sullivan,” on individual slips. Both are matted and framed under color portraits of the signers, to and overall size of 12.75 x 10. In fine condition, with a couple stray ink marks from matted out writing and a slight brush to Sullivan’s signature. R&R COA.
