Her debut occurred in Verdi's La Forza del Destina as Leonora. Appealing vintage sepia matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Ponselle in a white gown, leaning on a chair, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Ethel Brown, Sincerely, Rosa Ponselle, 1937.” In fine condition, with mild rippling to the left and right borders, a couple of small corner creases, and a couple of areas of trivial soiling.
