He spent most of the next 13 years living in Russia and London, returning to the US (1963) to live out his last years in poor health. Scarce vintage sepia textured finish (pearl-like) 8 x 10 photo of the broadly smiling Robeson in a suit and tie and holding sheet music, nicely signed “Kind wishes, Paul Robeson” in fountain pen on the white sheet music. In good condition, with scattered creasing, edge wear, scattered areas of soiling limited largely to the borders, a separation to the right border, separation in the left border has been repaired with adhesive tape.
