Ink signature and inscription, “To Evelyn Burr, best wishes, Humphrey Bogart,” on an off-white 7.25 x 10.5 sheet, bearing a letter of provenance from the original recipient, dated December 4, 1943. Letter reads, in part, “Mr. Bogart gave me this autograph for my daughter Evelyn, while we were traveling in an A. T. C. plane from Miami, Florida enroute to Natal, Brazil, on the evening of November 28, 1943.” Letter is signed “Samuel Engle Burr, Jr., Captain, A.G.D., A.U.S.,” and dated December 4, 1943.
