A handsome, Mexican actor, Novarro was a silent screen star. His biggest hit came with the title role in Ben-Hur. In later years he became an alcoholic and in 1968 was murdered at his ranch, El Rosario, by two brothers trying to find out where he kept his money. Vintage 7.5 x 9.25 MGM publicity photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Abdullah, with my best wishes, Ramon Novarro.” In fine condition, with some scattered light surface marks, minor rippling along bottom edge and a lightly trimmed edge.
