Sartre scribbles notes for himself: “Morts Sans Sepulture [Men Without Shadows] has just started playing (15 presentations in December and January this piece has broken out of its poster)”

French writer and existentialist philosopher, he was also the leading proponent of Existentialism. He refused the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1964. Unsigned notes, in French, on an 8.25 x 10.5 off-white sheet. Sartre writes, “Les Mouches has been playing in the USA. Morts Sans Sepulture has just started playing (15 presentations in December and January this piece has broken out of its poster). La Putain Respectueuse has been playing in Czechoslovakia at the same time as Huis Clos.” In fine condition, with pencil notations to bottom edge and some light creasing.
