Description

“It’s a wack world filled with obnoxious, pushy people!!!!!”

Cartoonist who created the classic underground “comix” Zap (1967) and Snatch (1968), featuring the overtly sexual escapades of Mr. Natural, the grotesquely voluptuous Angelfood McSpade, and many others. He was the creator of the cartoon symbol of an era, the strutting hippie over the slogan “Keep on Truckin,” which he failed to copyright. His comic series, Fritz The Cat, was adapted to an X-rated animated feature in 1972. Original signed ink sketch of a nude, maniacal creature on a white 3 x 5 card, signed “R. Crumb, April 6th, ‘85.” Above the creature is the text bubble which reads “It’s a wack world filled with obnoxious, pushy people!!!!!” In fine condition, with a bit of adhesive residue on the reverse from a previous mounting. R&R COA.
