Signed and inscribed, in Russian, on the front cover in fountain pen, “To the dear Valery Isaacson Boyarovich - Greetings on this day of good news. D. Shostakovich, April 17, 1943.” In very good condition, with scattered foxing and staining to covers and pages, missing lower quarter of front cover and scattered spotting.
