Actress and sexual icon of the 1950s and 1960s, Mansfield died in a car crash in 1967 at the age of 34; inspired to bodybuild after seeing a magazine cover of Steve ("Hercules") Reeves, Hargitay won the "Mr. Universe" competition in 1955 and later appeared as Hercules himself in the Italian film "The Loves of Hercules" costarring then-wife Jayne Mansfield. Lot of two signed documents includes: an AGVA Standard Form of Artists Engagement Contract, dated March 25, 1966, for her performance at the Valley Music Theatre, signed in blue ink on the reverse; and, Mickey Hargitay’s AFTRA membership application, filled out and signed by him. The attached receipt for his initiation is dated 11/1/62. The documents are accompanied by an unsigned glossy 8 x 10 cleavage-baring photo of the actress.
