In part, “I refer you to a letter which I wrote to the Board of Directors of your corporation on August 9, 1957, in which I advised you that in view of the corporation’s failure to pay my salary under the purported employment contract of January 27, 1956, the corporation had no right to enforce said contract against me, and that I consider myself free to seek employment elsewhere...I hereby give you notice...my employment will terminate thirty (30) days from the date hereof. I herewith make claim for all of the salary due me pursuant to...the aforementioned agreement. Nicely signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint “Marilyn Monroe.” Matted and framed with a small plaque, to an overall size of 12.5 x 18.
