Consul to Liverpool, England, Hawthorne verifies a Customs certificate from John Goodwin concerning the American ship Owego, which is printed above the Consul’s Certificate. Gilt and cloth matted and framed with a color portrait of Hawthorne and a small name plate, to an overall size of 23 x 20.
