A $100 Confederate States of America Bond, 14 x 11, issued April 22, 1862, bond number 1916, payable at 8% interest in July 1869. In part: “On the first day of July 1869, The Confederate States of America will pay the Bearer of this Bond, at the seat of Government or such place of deposit the sum of One Hundred Dollars with interest thereon.” When the Confederacy collapsed, the Bond Bearers were unable to collect their money. In fine condition, with edge toning, a few small stains and overall scattered creasing. R&R COA.
