Unsigned handwritten manuscript two 8 x 10.5 lined sheets. This is an essay written about Bill ‘Bojangles’ Robinson, which appears on pages 49 and 50 of his autobiography Steps In Time. Astaire notes at the top “Bill Robinson bit to be added at Davenport, Iowa spot,” and “Bill Robinson in Davenport Iowa.” In part, “The great Bill interested me a lot - not only for his good nature & likeable personality in addition to his ability as a pool player. He often watched our act. We discussed dancing and compared steps.” In fine condition, with light overall toning. R&R COA.
