Original Beatles concert ticket stub, 3.5 x 1.5, from their August 23, 1966 concert at Shea Stadium, signed on the reverse in felt tip “John Lennon.” Signature was acquired at a Philadelphia Multiple Sclerosis telethon in 1975 by the ex-wife of an audio engineer. In her accompanying letter, she states “I approached John for an autograph. I had kept a ticket from a Beatles concert that I had attended at Shea Stadium in New York in 1966 in my wallet. I pulled it out and asked him to sign it. He took it and signed the back and then turned it over to see what he had signed.” The night of the signing she also managed to snap a candid photo of Lennon hanging up a telephone after taking a pledge, which is also included. In very good condition, with tear to ticket between first and last name and some expected light creasing and distress from nine years of wallet storage. COA Roger Epperson/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
