Personal check, 6.25 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Laurel, payable to Ben W. Shipman for $50.00, March 30, 1926. Evidently Mr. Shipman was a friend of Laurel’s, as he appeared as the attorney for Laurel in 1938’s Block-Heads and also appeared on This Is Your Life in the 1952 episode devoted to Laurel and Hardy. In fine condition, with usual cancellation holes and stamps, with four letters affected by the holes and a portion of the last name affecting by a bank stamp. R&R COA.
