Description

?I am going to play the girl in Sonsdales ?Aren?t We All??...so perhaps that's the week you?d better come.?

ALS, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.5 x 7, June 24, 1921. Davis writes to critic Gensler Lewis trying to coax him to her play. In part, 'I am going to play the girl in Sonsdales 'Aren't We All?'...so perhaps that's the week you'd better come...I think that's Saturday the twentieth. You could stay and see the dress rehearsal Sunday - and not have to wait until Monday night.' Accompanied by an earlier Western Union telegram from Davis to Gensler. In fine condition, with a light shade of toning. RRAuction COA.
