December 1958 Souvenir Program from Alan Freed’s Christmas Jubilee Rock-and-Roll Show in New York City, 9 x 12, 14 pages, signed on the inside front cover in blue ballpoint, “Ritchie Valens.” The December 1958 souvenir program contains 14 pages exclusive of the covers and features numerous other leading rock-and-roll artists of the day, including The Everly Brothers, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Bo Diddley, Dion and The Belmonts, Jackie Wilson and saxophone greats Sam “The Man” Taylor and King Curtis. The Freed show was the last major appearance that Valens made before heading out on the ill-fated Winter Dance Party tour in late January 1959, for which no programs exist.
