The Monitor is here and a bout five others...There is about forty large ships of theirs so the rebels better keep back if they know when they are well off. I don't know as they are going to try to get this place back. I went out in the woods the other day and sar [sic] large holes in the ground whir [sic] the bombshells hit.'
