Letter written from his Fifth Avenue mansion to Melvin Ingalls, RR executive of the Big Four line and politician. In part: 'When I took leave of you after the very agreeable evening...you told me you intended visiting this city about the 22nd of the month, and now I write to ask if you will give me the pleasure of your company at dinner.'
