ALS signed 'Robt. Morris,' one page both sides, 7.5 x 9, August 9, 1787. Letter concerning a woman's financial affairs. In part, 'I have rec'd some bills drawn by Mrs. Saml. Godman of Elk Ridge for sale but all our remitters sent of by a ship lately sailed for London...not only the remitters for all the money they had but for a good deal more so that instead of having money to buy bills they are trying hard to pay for what is already gone, just a bill to be sold except for notes at 30 to 45 days...I have sent Mrs. Godman a draft on Alexandria for 450.'
