Description

He was elected to the Continental Congress in 1776. He voted for Independence, signed the Declaration, and was then appointed a member of the committee to frame the Articles of Confederation. In 1777 he was appointed to the Board of War. DS, signed 'Wm. Williams,' one page, 8.25 x 8, September 20, 1790. Financial document signed as Schoolmaster. In part, 'Please to pay to Roswith Sterns sixty one pounds fourteen shillings three pence...out of the monies appropriated for the payment of the civil suit.' In fine condition, with some faint staining, some stray ink marks and several folds. RRAuction COA.
