DS, signed 'B. Franklin,' one page, 7.5 x 6.25, October 4, 1787. Document signed as President of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania. An order to pay David Rittenhouse, as Treasurer of Pennsylvania, to pay Christopher Taylor one pound, four shillings and two pence out of the militia fines of Lancaster county for his services in the county Militia in the years 1777, 1779 and 1781. In very good condition, with four cancellation cuts, one through papraph of bold signature, scattered toning and soiling, light edge wear and two small repaired holes affecting text.
