ALS signed 'Bob,' two pages, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, no date. Letter to Lew, probably fellow batman ghost artist Lew Sayre Schwartz, providing him with two sketches of Jane Russell for use in one of his works. In part, 'You will find the drawings I did over will paste on and fit right into the boxes...I think they came out quite good. Use that Jane Russell for the presentation page - Color the photostat, not the original.' On the second page Kane has made a detailed full length sketch of a buxom female in a low cut gown sitting on a couch. He makes several notations along the sketch and writes at the bottom, in part, 'Use this shot of Jane - for the presentation page - I think it is quite sex-sational - Eh Wot?...But please use this shot as I sweated to get it just right. I think you'll also love it.' On the reverse of the first page, Kane draws another full length sketch of the same female in a partially opened robe, lying on a day bed smoking a cigarette. He notes, 'Maybe sometime we can get away with a shot of Jane like this - Although I think it's a bit to suggestive. Use the other drawing and not this for presentation.' In very good condition, with light overall toning, missing one corner from first page and some minor wrinkling. RRAuction COA.
