Mitchell and Baxter of Edinburgh, Scotland. In full: 'I hereby advise you that I have this day upon you in presence of Mr. R. P. of Aspirnall of Africa for the sum of eighty pounds sterling. I am, yours truly, Robert Louis Stevenson.' In fine condition, with light overall creasing, staple holes to the upper left corner, and toning and a small tear to the right edge which could be matted out.
