The eldest son of George III, he alienated his subjects with his prodigal spending and contemptuous treatment of his wife Queen Caroline, whom he refused to admit to his coronation. DS, signed 'George P. R.,' one page both sides, 9.5 x 14.5, September 6, 1816. George appoints Richard Neave Esquire to the position of Deputy Paymaster General with a salary of one thousand pounds per year. Signed across the top by Edward.
