Italian military and nationalist leader famous for his Redshirt attack on Sicily in May 1860. ALS in Italian, signed 'G. Garibaldi,' one page, 8.25 x 5.25, October 24, 1864. Interesting letter to an unknown recipient in Glascow, 'I love Glascow and the Scotch and desire to return again dear friend and wishing you great fortune.' The letter is mounted to an 11.5 x 9 sheet, with the full translation neatly penned along the bottom and four 1864 postmarks, one to each corner.
