TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, U. S. Senate letterhead, May 29, 1940. Truman prepares to campaign. In part, 'As you know I am nearing the end of my six year term in the Senate. During that time I have dedicated myself to the advancement of the farmer, the labor people and the average man...Winning means organization, and an organization means man power to carry out its proper purposes. Accordingly, at the suggestion of many friends, I am forming a Truman Campaign Committee.' Archivally double suede matted and framed with a photo of Truman signing an autograph, to an overall size of 15.5 x 25.
