The top panzer commander in the German Army, invaded France and later the Ukraine. He was captured by the Russians and died in jail. Vintage 3.25 x 5.5 postcard photo, signed in fountain pen, 'v. kleist,' adding his rank in the lower border. Accompanied by an unsigned photo of von Kleist walking in a Nazi cemetary.
