Third son of Dauphin Louis, husband of Marie Antoinette, deposed in September of 1792, tried for treason December 1792, found guilty and condemned to death, guillotined. DS, signed 'Louis,' one page, 9 x 14, September 2, 1791. Document, in French, a payment order for the State Treasury to pay a member of the National Assembly the sum of two hundred livres. In very good condition, with bisecting horizontal fold through lower portion of signature, light soiling and wrinkling, mostly to top and a few small holes.
