Notebook page, 3 x 5, in Jackson's hand, consisting of two lines of numbers and four crossed out entries. This is a very unusual post banishment item from old 'Shoeless Joe' with originates from the family of Joe Jackson. In very good condition with scattered soiling and wear of a well used notebook. After his suspension from baseball Jackson moved back to his native South Carolina and opened up a liquor store. He kept a small, wire-bound notebook used to record the standing credit accounts of his valued customers and consisted primarily of numerical notations. In handling this book it is easy to imagine a good customer with a running tab walking into the liquor store some sixty years ago, and an aging Joe Jackson slowly rising from his seat, leaning over the counter, taking this very pad from his shirt pocket, and asking in a polite southern drawl, 'What can I do you for today?' Includes a copy of a COA from MastroNet, which originally sold the entire notepad, signed by expert Mike Gutierrez and RRAuction COA.
