In part, 'This is to tell you how I wish from the bottom of my heart that you could be here on my beautiful mountain top, with me...where Mel [Ferrer] and I are getting married. We are doing it very quietly and informally in the tiny chapel up here...I would understand so completely if you preferred not to be here, also I know I am asking too much for you to come all this way...The Grand Hotel would roll out the red carpet for you...May I humbly beg you not to speak to anyone of my wedding...as I am keeping it a dark secret from the press.'
