Early American leader, served as an aide to Washington during the Revolution. Co-wrote the Federalist papers and as the first Secretary of the Treasury, he stabilized the nation's finances. He died in a duel with his political foe, Aaron Burr. Ink signature, 'Alexander Hamilton,' on an off-white 5.5 x 1.5 slip, clipped from a larger document or letter. Red wax seal remnants are present between first and last names. Matted and framed with a portrait of Hamilton, to an overall size of 12.5 x 16.
