Original second draft script for the 1935 film The Crusades, 8.5 x 14, 176 pages. Signed and inscribed in fountain pen on the detached front cover, 'To Mr. Barrett Byrnes, Greetings, Cecil B. deMille' Warning on the cover states that the script is 'Private and confidential and make sure it is not lost or stolen or left in any place where it may get into the wrong hands.' Accompanied by an unsigned photo of deMille and writer Howard Lamb looking at a similar script for the film. In very good condition, with scattered creasing and soiling to detached cover and light toning and spotting to remainder of script; a tear to the paper on the cover goes through deMille's signature.
