Popular child star of the 1940s best known for his roles in Song of the South and Treasure Island; his career faltered while in his teens and Driscoll became a drug addict at seventeen. In 1968 his body was found in an abandoned New York City tenement house and buried in a pauper's grave. It was not until a full year later that his body was exhumed and identified by the fingerprints at the request of his father.
