Individual TLSs from Andy Warhol and Joan Crawford that mention one another—a TLS signed “AW,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Andy Warhol Films, Inc., dated April 11, 1973, addressed to famed Hollywood publicist John Springer, in part: “I am very sorry to hear that Joan Crawford was hurt because I did not stay for the entire performance last Sunday night at Town Hall. Unfortunately, I had a prior engagement for dinner with Marshall McLuhan and there was no way I could get out of it…Please assure Miss Crawford that I am a great fan of hers and that I hope we can get together sometime when she is in town”; and a TLS signed “Joan,” one page, 6 x 7, personal letterhead, May 7, 1973, also addressed to Springer, in full: “You are so good to send me copies of Andy Warhol’s letter to you and your very tactful answer. You are super! Love to all of you—I mean you, June and the children.” In overall fine condition, with some light creasing to the left edge of the Warhol letter.
