Flown 1 x .25 section of lunar surface safety line carried to the surface of the moon during the Apollo 14 mission, presented to a NASA employee following the mission. The swatch is laminated to a 3.75 x 2.5 presentation card, reading: "Presented in appreciation of your role in Apollo 14's success. This small portion of the lunar surface safety line was carried by the astronauts on the moon's surface February 5-6, 1971." Mounted and framed with a typed NASA letter bearing printed signatures of the Apollo 14 crew, presenting the safety line to Margaret J. Bennett, to an overall size of 8.5 x 10.75. In fine condition, with some light toning to the letter.
