Limited edition color 26 x 26 lithograph featuring a portrait of Jacqueline Kennedy by photographer Jacques Lowe, entitled “Jackie. Summer 1960,” numbered 124/400, signed in the lower border in black felt tip by Lowe. In fine condition, with trivial edgewear.
Known as ‘Jackie in the yellow dress,’ the portrait is among Lowe’s most celebrated images. It was issued in a signed lithograph edition in 2000, shortly before Lowe’s death in May 2001. Its original negative was subsequently lost with approximately 40,000 of Lowe’s negatives stored in a JPMorgan Chase vault at 5 World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks, making this edition among the last produced while the negative survived.
