(Walt Disney Studios, 1959) Original production drawing of Briar Rose from Sleeping Beauty, picturing the iconic Disney princess in a full-figure profile pose holding her cape. Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 15.5 x 12.5 animation paper marked "75" in the lower right corner. Character image measures 4 x 6.75. According to the consignor, the drawing corresponds to the scene at 37:50 on Disney+ in which Briar Rose returns to the cottage after meeting the prince, sets down her basket, which is outlined in red, and hangs up her cape. The consignor notes that Marc Davis oversaw Briar Rose’s animation in this scene. In fine condition, with trivial wear to bottom edge, and some light toning and creasing to the left side, one or two touching Rose's foot and cape.
