Original vintage glossy 7.75 x 9.25 photo of Marilyn Monroe conversing with Frank Sinatra at the Cal-Neva Lodge on Lake Tahoe in August 1960, during the Nevada filming of The Misfits. Sinatra, then an owner of the Cal-Neva, invited the film’s cast to the resort for an evening. Monroe, wearing a sleeveless dark evening dress and layered beaded necklace, smiles and gestures toward Sinatra, who is formally dressed in a tuxedo and bow tie. Between them is Cal-Neva club manager Bert ‘Wingy’ Grober, leaning into their conversation. The table in the foreground is crowded with bottles, drinking glasses, cigarettes, and cigarette packages. In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges, light scattered marks, and a vertical bend to the left side. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic 'Type I' photograph, circa 1960.
The Marc and Mary Perkins Collection.
