American Mafia boss (1914–1987) who headed the Trafficante crime family and became one of the most powerful organized crime figures in Florida. Based in Tampa, he oversaw criminal interests in Florida and Cuba. Original glossy 4 x 5 photograph of notorious Tampa Mafia boss Santo Trafficante, Jr., shown in a chest-up portrait wearing a suit, striped tie, and glasses. The reverse bears “A Kodak Paper” watermarks and is annotated in pencil, “Santo Trafficante / Photo taken 1962.” In very good to fine condition, with creases to borders, staple holes to corners, and slight surface impressions from writing on reverse.
