Two Apollo in-suit food dispenser components, each measuring 7 x 1.5, constructed of white fabric with stitched edging and Velcro swatches at either end for attachment inside an astronaut’s pressure-suit neck ring. Both bear faint manufacturer/part markings: “In-Suit Food Dispenser, P/N SEB13100215-301, S/N 1070” and “In-Suit Food Dispenser, P/N SEB13100215-301, S/N 1071.” In overall fine condition with scattered stains.
These components were designed to secure food inside an astronaut’s pressure-suit neck ring, placing it within reach during lengthy EVAs without requiring removal of the helmet. The system was used during the later Apollo lunar missions, with astronauts securing snack pouches and drink bags inside their suits with Velcro. Apollo 15 commander Dave Scott recalled that his snack pouch was Velcroed inside the neck ring, while Apollo 17 commander Gene Cernan similarly recalled carrying both a drink bag and candy bar pouch in this manner.
