Flown checklist page carried to the moon aboard Apollo 13 as part of the LM Malfunction Procedures Checklist, 8 x 10.5, signed in black ballpoint, “James Lovell, Apollo 13 CDR.” The page, dated March 16, 1970, contains pages 76A and 76B from the “Apollo 13 Flight Data File,” and is headed “70 MM Camera Malfunctions Procedures.” The signed side provides a flow chart for troubleshooting two lunar module camera malfunctions, “No camera reaction” and “Camera becomes sluggish,” directing the crew to cycle the trigger, manually advance the film/camera, strike the camera body sharply, and, if necessary, conclude that the camera may be too cold. The reverse, page 76B, is marked “This Page Intentionally Left Blank.” In fine condition.
Accompanied by a signed CD-R containing images of the front and back of all 45 sheets from the flown checklist, and a certificate of authenticity that contains full provenance and documentation for the chain of ownership from Lovell to the consignor, who attests to having removed this offered page from the original flown “Apollo 13 LM Malfunction Procedures Checklist, Part No. SKB32100076, Serial No. 1001.” The certificate further notes that the checklist remained in Lovell’s possession following Apollo 13 until its sale at auction in October 2008, and that Lovell signed the offered page in November 2009. A desirable flown procedure directly related to the 70mm camera equipment carried aboard the Apollo 13 Lunar Module.
