Description

Vintage pearl-finish 5.5 x 3.5 postcard photograph depicting Al Capone seated with his brother, Albert Capone, Albert's wife, Dorothy, and two unidentified companions during an outing at Chicago's Riverview Amusement Park, posed behind a railing prominently displaying a ‘Repeal the Dry Law’ beer mug sign. In fine condition, with some silvering, and creasing to two corners. According to the consignor, the photograph was recently acquired directly from relatives of Al Capone. Notably, this very image appears in Laurence Bergreen's acclaimed biography Al Capone: The Man and the Era.
