Original circa October 1989 magazine page featuring a promotional portrait of Steve Jobs with his pioneering NeXT computer system, which was proudly put together and displayed by his father, Paul Jobs, in the living room of the Jobs family home in Los Altos. Displayed in the original wooden frame to an overall size of 9.25 x 11. In very good to fine condition, with fading to colors and some surface scuffing to the upper margin. Accompanied by an image of Steve Jobs taken during a visit to his parents' house in the 1990s, this photo clearly seen behind his head, as well as an image more clearly showing its position on the wall.
After his departure from Apple in 1985, Steve Jobs founded NeXT, a visionary computer company aimed at building powerful workstations for higher education and advanced research. Though NeXT’s hardware achieved only limited commercial success, its elegant design and innovative software proved enormously influential: the NeXTSTEP operating system later became the foundation for Apple’s Mac OS X after Apple acquired NeXT in 1997, marking Jobs’s triumphant return to the company he co-founded.
