Original display featuring a reduced 4.75 x 6.5 print of the Inc. magazine cover from October 1981, featuring a portrait of Steve Jobs—his first-ever magazine cover—and the headline: "This Man Has Changed Business Forever: What personal computers can do for you." The display was proudly put together and displayed by his father, Paul Jobs, in Steve's childhood bedroom at the Jobs family home in Los Altos. Matted and framed to an overall size of 8.25 x 10.25. In very good to fine condition, with some fading to the colors and a small piece of tape to the bottom edge of the frame.
Although Apple Computer was the darling of Wall Street and quickly becoming one of the hottest companies of the era, its young co-founder and CEO had yet to find himself on the cover of a magazine. That all changed with the October issue of Inc., a publication self-described as ‘The Magazine for Growing Companies.’ Posed with an Apple II Plus, the 26-year-old Steve Jobs is pictured on the cover sans tie and wearing blue jeans and a corduroy jacket, a far cry from the public image Jobs would later famously project.
