Color oversized 20.5 x 37.75 Goodyear 1940 advertising calendar poster featuring a dramatic illustration of Mount Rushmore, depicting a man and a Boy Scout gazing toward the monument's colossal presidential sculptures, signed and inscribed on the image in fountain pen, “Sincerely, G. P. Rothron, Gutzon Borglum, 1940.” The lower section is printed with “The Story of the Mount Rushmore Memorial,” a detailed account of the monument's creation and the career of sculptor Gutzon Borglum. Issued for Neil's Tire Service of Rapid City, South Dakota. The calendar section is detached but present. Rolled and in very good to fine condition, with edgewear, dampstaining, holes, and paper loss, mostly restricted to the lower section.
